Jamie received her Nurse Practitioner degree at Duke University School of Nursing, graduating with honors. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. While being an NP she gained experience in the Emergency Department and primary care for the geriatric community.
Jamie grew up as a small town girl from Illinois. She developed a love for medicine at an early age as her brother had cystic fibrosis. She worked her way through nursing school working as a medical assistant and waitress. After earning her Bachelor’s degree of science she and her husband moved to North Carolina where she worked as a Cardiothoracic nurse for 5 years. After graduating from Duke University School of Nursing with her Master’s degree she worked in Preoperative Screening before moving back to the Midwest. While back in Illinois she gain experience in the Emergency Department, soon realizing she was not a fan of the cold, snowy winters. She and her family decided Arizona would be a good fit with a better climate. Here she has worked in primary care with the geriatric community, but has decided to focus on Urology and has joined our team here at Academic Urology.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband Nate, two kids, Grant and Elliana, as well as their two Multipoo dogs. She enjoys cooking, sewing, and reading.
