Following his residency on the east coast, Dr. Joshua Jones is excited to bring his urologic training to the Valley of the Sun. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, he worked in the post-anesthesia care unit and received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the Ohio State University. After being awarded multiple prestigious scholarships, he continued his medical degree education at OSU where he sat on the admissions committee and was a board member for the Physician’s Free Clinic.
Dr. Jones’ first exposure to becoming a surgeon came while working as a tissue technician for the local organ procurement organization, Lifeline of Ohio. After obtaining his Doctor of Medicine and graduating cum laude, he moved to Philadelphia and completed two years of general surgery and four years of Urologic training at Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center. He values a multidisciplinary approach to medicine and was named Outstanding Consultant of the Year by his colleagues for his professionalism and dedication to patient care. Dr. Jones was presented an award from the Philadelphia Urologic Society for his publication on prostate cancer in the African-American community, and he has co-authored multiple papers on the topics of targeted fusion prostate biopsies, robotic (daVinci) bladder surgery, and robotic prostate surgery for benign disease such as BPH.
Dr. Jones is excited to take advantage of all of the outdoor activities Arizona has to offer. He also loves exercising, discovering new podcasts, going to concerts, and traveling the country to visit friends and family.
